Mrs. Mahek Gandhi - Managing Trustee
About Us
The Bhagyoday Charitable Trust was established by activist Mahek Gandhi about ten years ago, and it has been working at the grassroots level to empower women in Mumbai's urban areas who are economically underprivileged.
Mission
Our mission is to strive toward the social advancement of poor people, communities, and groups, mostly in metropolitan India. To save lives, advance equity, and ensure bright futures, we combine local creativity with global perspectives. We give people the tools they need to build a way out of poverty for both themselves and their communities.
Vision
Our efforts are intended to end the vicious cycle of social exclusion and poverty and to rekindle hope for a better future. Every person has the right to access resources and opportunities in order to live and develop with dignity and to become an active and contributing member of our society, in our opinion, provided they are given the chance and are fostered.
Values
ON-MARKETING ORIENTED:
We do not carry out paid marketing activities. We have no salaries or overheads to pay. Donations are utilised for what it was meant for.
NON-DISCRIMINATORY: We not discriminate in its selection of project activity, on the basis of race, colour, religion, orientation, lifestyle, etc.
NON-POLITICAL/RELIGIOUS: We do not support initiatives or projects that are solely for the benefit of one religious community barring others.
NOT FOR PERSONAL BENEFIT: We keep an ethical firewall. Every project which we support cannot be based on any personal benefit.

Mission
Our mission is to work for the social development of underprivileged individuals, groups and communities, predominantly in urban India. We bring together local ingenuity and global insights to save lives, advance equity, and secure strong futures. We empower people to create a path out of poverty for themselves and for their communities.
HOPE
Emily Dickinson wrote,
“Hope” is the thing with feathers,
That perches in the soul.
And sings the tune without the words -
And never stops at all.
H for HUMANE HUMANITY
It is claimed that to serve people is to serve God. But who has the time to provide service in our hectic metropolitan environment? The mission of BCT is to help the less fortunate.
O for ORGANISATIONAL OUTREACH
Urban metropolises have very genuine problems with poverty. You can think that poverty doesn't effect you only because you are affluent. Though it does.
P for PUBLIC PHILANTHROPY
We've investigated their problems and come up with workable answers; now, we're depending on generous donors like you to fund the implementation of those solutions.
E for EDUCATED EMPOWERMENT
Every child has the fundamental right to an education. Both the negative effects of child labour and the benefits of educating children for a secure future must be communicated to parents.
Donations
A drop becomes an ocean. Bhagyoday Charitable Trust looks up to you for your assistance in our endeavour. You may change lives and proudly contribute to the social advancement of our country for the same amount of money that you spend each month on gas for your car.
Charity activities are taken place around the world
Numerous women, kids, and families in the urban, underprivileged sector have smiles on their cheeks thanks to activities organised by BCT throughout the years. One of our main areas of attention is education because it is the foundation of economic prosperity. Every year, we procure books and office supplies from our generous contributors and give them to students in need. Along with participating in community-wide festivals, vocational workshops are also offered in sewing, computer use, arts and crafts, and self defence for women. Malnutrition is a significant problem for urban poor people. We frequently offer nourishing food, both cooked and in the form of essentials (especially during the COVID 19 pandemic).
